Overall due diligence
Insufficient evidence
Records consist solely of six historical election results (1959-1982); they do not establish current office, party status, integrity profile or financial picture.
Electoral resilience
Open
Records cover only elections up to 1982; six contests in Kedah (Lunas 1959, Baling Barat by-election 1968, P11 Baling 1969, N16 Kupang 1974/1978/1982) show a mixed track record with two Kupang wins (1974 unopposed, 1978 by 407 votes) and a 1982 loss. Current electoral standing is not in the records.
Political continuity
Stable
All six recorded candidacies were under PAS, with one (1974) on the PAS/BN ticket in the Barisan coalition; no party switch is documented in the records.
Integrity signal
Open
No allegations, charges, convictions or regulatory findings appear in the records. Absence of records is not evidence of a clean record.
Financial / corporate
Open
No SSM company-registry, asset-declaration, Auditor-General or credit information in the records. Corporate and financial exposure cannot be assessed from what is provided.
How much due-diligence attention each area needs — not a finding of wrongdoing.
Records do not document any current office or appointment; historic state assembly service cannot be assumed to be ongoing.
No documented patronage, coalition or factional ties beyond a 1974 PAS/BN contest.
No contracting, tender or government-transaction records are provided.
No company, director or GLC records are provided.
No civil or criminal court records are provided.
No MACC, PDRM, regulatory or disciplinary findings are in the records.
No asset declarations, solvency checks or public financial disclosures are provided.
No press reports, claims or fact-checks are included.
The supplied public record is limited to six official election results for Mohd Romli bin Abdullah covering 1959-1982 in Kedah, all under PAS (one cycle under PAS/BN). The records establish a long contest history, including two wins in N16 Kupang (1974, 1978) and a 1982 loss, but contain no information on current roles, integrity matters, corporate exposure, finances, litigation or media profile. On this evidence alone the due-diligence picture is insufficient and most risk dimensions remain open; meaningful assessment requires SSM, court-registry, MACC and asset-declaration checks as listed in the next steps.
