Overall due diligence
Insufficient evidence
Only two official election results are on file; no reporting, court, asset or company-registry records were provided to assess integrity or financial exposure.
Electoral resilience
Open
Two data points 23 years apart; 1999 win in N38 by ~11,167 votes vs 2022 loss in N48 with 6,258 votes — the constituency boundaries and the intervening record are not in the file.
Political continuity
Elevated
Party realignment from GERAKAN/BN to BERSATU/PN is recorded, but the timing and any intermediate affiliations between 1999 and 2022 are not documented.
Integrity signal
Open
No allegations, charges or court matters appear in the records; absence of records is not evidence of a clean record.
Financial / corporate
Open
No SSM, asset-declaration, Auditor-General or media-financial records provided — corporate and asset exposure cannot be assessed from this file.
How much due-diligence attention each area needs — not a finding of wrongdoing.
Only election results on record; office-holder profile (state assembly term, dates) not documented.
Party affiliations recorded but no documented ties to other politicians, donors or coalitions.
No procurement, contract-award or Auditor-General records provided.
No SSM filings, directorship data or GLC appointments in the file.
No court-registry, MACC or anti-corruption records provided.
No regulatory or criminal findings in the records; not the same as a clean record.
No asset declarations, income data or insolvency records supplied.
No media coverage, civil-society assessments or defamation/complaint records in the file.
The supplied file establishes only two things: Khoo Kong Ek won the N38 Skudai state seat in 1999 on a GERAKAN/BN ticket and lost in N48 Skudai in 2022 on a BERSATU/PN ticket. All other dimensions of a due-diligence brief — integrity, financial transparency, corporate exposure, litigation, media and procurement interface — are not covered by these records and should be treated as open. Any fuller assessment will require official-source verification through SSM, MACC, the court registry, the Auditor-General and parliamentary/state assembly records.
