Overall due diligence
Moderate
Records establish three consecutive state-election wins in Kamunting under UMNO/BN, but provide no information on post-2004 office, corporate roles, or integrity matters, leaving most due-diligence areas open.
Electoral resilience
High
Won Kamunting three times in a row (1995, 1999, 2004) with margins of 6,762, 2,205 and 4,571 votes; the 1999 dip and 2004 rebound track the national BN cycle.
Political continuity
Stable
All three recorded wins are under the same UMNO/BN banner in the same seat (renumbered N13 to N16 after redelineation).
Integrity signal
Open
No allegation, charge, conviction, acquittal or dismissal is on file in these records.
Financial / corporate
Open
No asset, income, SSM company, GLC or contract record is on file.

The records establish Abdul Malek bin Mohamed Hanafiah as a three-term UMNO/BN ADUN for Kamunting in Perak (1995, 1999, 2004) with consistently strong electoral margins, indicating solid local standing. No allegation, charge, conviction, corporate role or procurement tie is documented in the file, but that absence reflects limited record coverage rather than clearance. Enhanced due diligence is not triggered by the records on hand, but most non-electoral dimensions remain open and should be verified through SPR, SSM, court, MACC and Auditor-General sources.
